Sweater is worked from the top down, flat to start and worked flat at the body. Sleeves are placed on hold then worked in the round, buttonband and collar picked up and knit at the end. Please slip all markers as you come to them throughout the pattern.

Out the window, dawn is slipping softly through the sky. Her pink and purple shades slowly intensifying, then diluting like a watercolor as the sun breaks. As the rich aroma of coffee fills the house, the only sounds to be heard are the percolating pop and drip of the coffeemaker mingled with the early morning songbirds outside the window. They flit from branch to branch, curious and alert. There is yet no rush, no urgency to which the day has started. The lingering steam off the mug and the quiet stillness in which to exist are substantial and adequate, they are enough.
